Product Overview
MyoResearch XP Master is the most comprehensive software solution for EMG and sensor related analysis available on the market. Unlike other packages, MyoResearch XP Master provides all the tools and functions needed for complex scientific research, as well as numerous pre-configured and ready-to-use report solutions for essential EMG and biomechani- cal sensor related applications. Advanced users can create their own acquiring and analysis routines within seconds. Depending on the hardware configuration, up to 32 channels can be easily combined and classified, processed in real-time, and analyzed by automatic reports. MyoResearch XP Master can be used with all NORAXON amplifier products.

Anatomical maps simplify the muscle choice. Numerous measurement options like real time processing, Feedback, synchronized video, and external triggering are supported. |
The measurement monitor displays all detected raw/real time processed curves and also all activated options like video, feedback histogram and electronic test/training assistant. |
Data Acquiring and Management
Along with the raw data acquiring real-time processing functionality, rectification, smoothing/ filtering and amplitude normalization (MVC) are all supported. Real-time FFT spectrums, biofeedback animation and a computer-voice assistant are all available options. Multi-activity recording allows sampling in sequences of different activities within one record. Digital video (via USB or FireWire) can be synchronized and recorded with the signal data. Any digital camera system is supported. The database system is designed for multimedia file management and allows the combined management of data records, videos, pictures and RTF documents (like MS Word). Comprehensive export/import functions are supported for increased flexibility in data communication between various programs.
Signal Processing Routines
For post hoc processing, numerous signal processing digital filters, such as MVCnormalization or the unique ECG removing routines are supported. Synchronized digital videos are used to define analysis periods for complex movements. Rescaling, zoom and over-lay functions allow for a quick analysis of selected record intervals.

Analysis Reports
MyoResearch XP offers a set of predefined standard reports covering the most commonly used amplitude, frequency and timing calculations. A key feature in the program design is the sophisticated period definition system for analysis periods. It can be combined with a trigger to analyze TTL / foot switch, angle or other movement signals. Pre-configured analy-sis frames can be customized by mouse click. Analyses graphs can be compared to graphs from other records (curve overplot, test and retest comparison, etc.). An integrated normative data menu allows a quick generation of normative databases. Export routines to clipboard (excel, etc.) or as internet compatible HTML documents allow an external exchange of find-ings.

Pre-configured Analysis Reports:
- EMG standard analysis - Symmetry comparison
- Coordination analysis
- Average EMG patterns
- Feedback/ Incontinence
- Spectrum report
- Frequency/ Fatigue analysis
- EMG and Isokinetic report
- Clinical gait analysis
- Wavelet analysis
- Template training analysis
- Timing & Onset analysis
- Ergonomics module
- Bilateral gait
- Jump tests
A powerful report editor allows skilled users to create their own self-written, analysis reports that perfectly fit their needs. Besides capturing EMG signals, MyoResearch XP Master can also be used to analyze other biomechanical signals like force, acceleration, and angle. All major analysis parameters are supported or can be created by the report editor. MyoResearch XP Master can serve as a universal measurement and analysis solution for biomechanical labs.
Automatic Application Protocols
MyoResearch XP Master is equipped with a separate program mode called “Application Pro-tocols”. It allows the user to perform automated measure and analysis routines: within 4 mouse clicks even complex setups like gait analysis, fatigue studies or time and MVC nor-malized averaged EMG patterns can be performed and analyzed by an online analysis re-port. This wizard driven program, enables even non-EMG specialists to quickly and accu-rately perform EMG measures and use it as an everyday routine in clinical settings or other routine tasks. A simple to understand “traffic light principle” with a green main action button and a red stop button operates all protocols in the same way:
The main benefit of this green/red button concept is that the application doesn’t matter; the operation of a protocol can be learned, understood and performed in 10 minutes. Speed is combined with flexibility, because an optional “Modify” button allows the user to adjust each automated protocol step to specific customer needs.
Easy Use of Application Protocols
Below is an example of just how easy it is to use. In four easy steps you can be on your way to better data acquisition and analysis of EMG and biomechanical sensors.
A list of currently installed protocols is located at the end of this document.
List of Application Protocols
The supported clinical application protocols are suitable for manual muscle testing, analysis of body movement patterns during therapy exercises, sports performance movements and ergonomic research. The option of a feedback training protocol can be used to control and improve the efficiency of any treatment by monitoring the reaction of target muscles.
